keara graduated from fordham university, receiving a master's degree in clinical social work specializing as a palliative care fellow in 2017. keara began her career as a hospice social worker/bereavement counselor on long island new york, working with individuals, groups, and children. keara moved into the public health and grants management space as a women's health coordinator specializing in project management for women’s health, family planning, LGBTQIA+ advocacy, maternal healthcare, and health equity initiatives. keara was a frontline healthcare worker during the coronavirus pandemic working as a bereavement coordinator throughout long island. keara moved to charleston in 2020 and began working in the start-up sector as a behavioral health care program manager and developer specializing in behavioral health care and palliative care planning. keara has been practicing yoga for over 15 years, including vinyasa, yin, and bikram/hot yoga. throughout kearas clinic practice, she has always dreamed of incorporating the healing powers of somatic yoga movement with clinical psychotherapy which is now the mission of kalm therapies.
